He has taught ESL/EFL in Hawaii, Illinois, Massachusetts, and China beginning in the early 2000’s, and TESOL courses in sociolinguistics, computer-assisted language learning, and second language assessment. Dr. Voss presents and publishes on technology for language learning and assessment. He is an active member of the International Language Testing Association (ILTA) and reviews manuscripts for Language Testing, Language Assessment Quarterly, the Journal of English for Academic Purposes, and Language Learning & Technology. Dr. Ilka Kostka is an associate teaching professor at the College of Professional Studies at Northeastern University, where she teaches and develops academic reading and writing courses to undergraduate and graduateinternational students. She has twelve years’ experience teaching ESL/EFL and TESOL courses for pre-service teachers. Since she began flipping her ESL courses several years ago, she has published and presented on flipped learning at regional and international conferences and provided professional development workshops for instructors.
