Overview

Die Wertach kommt aus dem Allgäu und mündet bei Augsburg in den Lech. Auf dem Fluß wurde vor allem Holz geschwemmt und geflößt. Flößerdörfer waren Pforzen, Frankenhofen, Stockheim und Schlingen. Schwierigkeiten gab es immer wieder bei der Durchflößung durch wittelbacher Herrschaftsgebiete.
