Authors she's worked with include Cynthia Lord, Tamora Pierce, and Suzanne Collins. Kate has also written many books for children, including a picture book, Kate and Nate Are Running Late (illustrated by Dan Yaccarino) and a middle grade series called The Magic Shop. Jeff Brown (1926-2003) was a magazine editor and short-story writer who created the beloved character Flat Stanley as a bedtime story for his sons. He wrote many books about the star of the perpetually popular series, including Flat Stanley, Stanley and the Magic Lamp, Invisible Stanley, Stanley's Christmas Adventure, Stanley in Space, and Stanley, Flat Again!
