He is well known for his contributions in the areas of KID management, workflow, business process management and integration. Erik has presented his work at a number of workshops and conferences. In November 2006, he chaired an international conference where people from organizations in his line of business shared their ideas and work. Erik is happily married to Trish. She is one of the reasons for writing this book. Trish changed careers and started a new position in information management in 2007. She observed that there were not many textbooks that provide a broad introduction to the various concepts and principles of information management. This observation is shared by many of Erik's colleagues. This book is his attempt to write a comprehensive, accessible textbook in plain English.
