The author has been a data practitioner for the better part of the past twenty years, as well as having been a project and program manager and a functional manager of project managers, systems engineers, developers and business analysts. He is currently a data governance subject matter expert at a Fortune 500 company in Southern California. He has spoken and acted as an expert panelist at data governance and data quality conferences and has mentored and coached project managers and business analysts on various aspects of data governance and data quality. He possesses an MBA degree with an emphasis in Technology Management and holds certifications in project management (PMP), Lean Six Sigma, ITIL and predictive analytics. As a member of the data science advisory board at UCLA Extension, he contributed to the development of a data science certificate program and continues to contribute to the program by teaching a data governance course that he developed.
