Marie-Louise Eyres was born in England and raised partly in the USA. After attending the University of York, she worked as an actress and as a literary agent in London. Her poems are widely published in US and UK journals and can be found in recent editions of Poetry Magazine, The Atlanta Review, The Portland Review, Stand, Agenda, Acumen, Modern Poetry in Translation, Shearsman, and various anthologies. She was a winner in the Poetry News ""Lesser Loss"" competition and has been highly commended in the Bridport (twice), Gingko AONB, Bedford, and Live Canon competitions. After a couple of decades living in California and Washington DC, she now resides in Bristol, England. This book won the James Tate Prize in 2025.
