Fire Scene Discipline

Overview

Fire Scene Discipline: True Stories of Close Calls tackles fire attack, ventilation, rescue, collapse, and communication by examining real-life incidents such as Hurricane Katrina and the World Trade Center attacks. Firefighters consider several risks before they enter a structure for an interior attack, including size, location and intensity of the fire, stability of the structure, and safe access to the fire area. This book shares these close calls and other stories from author Danny Sheridan’s 37-year career to illustrate the concepts of risk and reward on the fireground.
