OverviewAround 14,000 years ago, a wet period that lasted for nearly eight millennia transformed the dry Sahara into a second Garden of Eden. Traces of its ancient inhabitants, including those occupying the land that is now Libya, have been grist for the mill for modern archeologists, including Desiree. There is danger there. Various factions in a divided country still fight to dominate certain portions of the land. They fear that scientists will unearth information about the ancient inhabitants and the land itself, both above and below, that will upset the status quo of the region. Still, Desiree will go there to seek out this information. In the process, she will risk her life in order to complete her mission: to shed light on the civilization that lived in the Green Sahara and to fulfill her destiny, to uncover secrets about the origins of the human race. In the midst of the fire on the desert sands, she will find love. More important, she will find herself.
