Author Information

Even in his early elementary school years, Jamie Lefebvre has loved writing. He loved writing poetry and short stories in his notebooks as an outlet for depression and anxiety. Now, as both a licensed mental health counselor and an elementary school adjustment counselor, he strives to write children's books that help kids overcome challenging patterns of thinking due to anxiety, depression, and other mental health struggles. With a bachelor's in Psychology from Ithaca College and a master's in Mental Health Counseling from UMass Boston, Jamie is notorious for his informative, thought-provoking, and humorous stories that have captured the hearts and minds of his elementary school students. Watching his students year after year recall characters, themes, and solutions is what truly inspired him to put his stories on paper for other children and parents to enjoy. When he is not writing or working, he enjoys traveling, photography, sports, and spending time with his family and friends. Jamie particularly loves being Uncle J to his nieces and nephews. He lives in Easthampton, Massachusetts, with his wife and two cats, who are his greatest supporters.
