Billie Scott has worked in the field of fingerprints for more than 35 years, at the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department and the Los Angeles Police Department, retiring from the LAPD as a forensic print specialist. She holds a certificate in court presentation of evidence from the California Criminalistics Institute and has received specialized training from the FBI in deceased and disaster identification and advanced latent fingerprint techniques. She has been an instructor in fingerprint classification in the Los Angeles Unified School District and Community College System since 1982.
