Fun in the Fields Findley leaves the forest and wanders into a wide, golden field where the wheat sways and whispers in the wind. There, he meets a friendly scarecrow Tom, with a patchy coat, a wobbly hat and a big, warm smile. They spend the day singing, telling magical stories and crafting a twirly wind vane from feathers, twigs and spoons. The next morning, Findley helps a hedgehog family move their muddy home to higher ground and learns how small acts of kindness can make a big difference. Before he leaves, Tom gives him a special gift, a little pouch of flower seeds to plant wherever he travels, so kindness can grow along his journey. With the sound of the waves in his ears and his bravery shell close to his heart, Findley builds a small rock tower to thank the sea before setting off once again, stronger, prouder and braver than before.
