"""I read this book sitting in my own 'armchair by the window' during a difficult season, and I am thankful for the honest, practical, and gentle way Everingham guides his readers. Biblically engaged, theologically robust, pastorally informed, and personally lived, this book is a gift to those who struggle with prayer in dark days. Everingham's prayer is 'that this book is a balm for your soul--a blessing, not a burden.' It has been for me."" --Kit Barker, academic dean and lecturer in Old Testament, Sydney Missionary and Bible College ""In Finding Peace through Prayer, Mitch Everingham has gifted us with a much-needed work on the how of prayer. With pastoral warmth, theological nuance, and personal reflection, Everingham provides practical shape and substance to what persevering prayer looks like. Challenging, insightful, and most of all encouraging, this book is a breath of fresh air to all of us who desire to grow in prayer."" --Malcolm Gill, associate minister, St. Andrew's Cathedral, Sydney ""With the warmth and wisdom of a trusted friend, Mitch Everingham guides us into more intimate, effectual prayer in his new book Finding Peace through Prayer. Whether your prayer life feels stale or you're not sure where to start, Finding Peace through Prayer offers practical rhythms that can enhance all our conversations with God. This book will help you enjoy more time on your knees!"" --Clarissa Moll, author of Beyond the Darkness: A Gentle Guide for Living with Grief and Thriving after Loss ""It's hard to pray when times are hard and suffering is the norm. In Finding Peace through Prayer, Everingham offers readers a lived experience of learning to pray and commune with God through seasons of suffering. This book encouraged my soul, shaped my practice, and gave me 'confidence to draw near to the throne of grace . . . to receive mercy and find grace in our time of need' (Heb 4:16). I believe Mitch will serve you well in that endeavor also."" --Jeremy Writebol, lead campus pastor, Woodside Bible Church"
