Poet Mara Bright is a mother, grandmother, spouse, and friend. She's a former high school English teacher and school librarian who has facilitated writers' groups for adults for more than twenty years. She has written for School Library Journal, Calliope, Cobblestone, Faces, and local publications. Her early poems appear in Bone Cages, an anthology published by Haley's. She is the author of The Constant Heart, a memoir.As a professional astrologer, she does readings and teaches astrology.She loves outdoor adventuring, wandering in the woods, and playing in her gardens.She lives in rural Western Massachusetts with her partner, a piano, and lots of house plants.
