Who knew murder could be so much fun? Can two beer-drinking, pot-smoking, totally inept amateur detectives solve Hawaii's crime of the decade - the murder and decapitation of a rising young Hollywood actress? Chances are probably right around zero. But when Archie and Kimo end up with temporary jobs working at Pete's Pancake School - an oddly named nudist resort for the rich hidden deep in the Waianae Mountains of western Oahu - they get the opportunity to do just that. A quirky, humorous, mystery-adventure featuring disparate lifelong friends who have no idea how to go about solving a mystery. And that, of course, just makes things difficult.

Chet Novicki was born in Laconia, NH, and has lived in California, North Carolina, Korea, Japan, Honolulu, HI, and Florida. Along the way he has had a variety of jobs, ranging from Chinese Mandarin linguist for the US government to truck driver. He is a two-time graduate of the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, CA, and a graduate of the University of Hawaii. His hobbies include skydiving, hang gliding, free diving, volcano jumping, alligator wrestling, cannonball catching and telling tall tales - mostly the latter.
