OverviewWhat's My Name, a poem very close to my heart, was the inspiration and driving force behind my writing. Finding a Meaning... What's My Name, a poem very close to my heart, was the inspiration and driving force behind my writing. My hope is that dementia will, at last, receive the funding and urgency it so desperately deserves. It is a prolonged and cruel brain disease, and we urgently need answers and effective treatments. I would also like to acknowledge the Alzheimer's Association for their dedication and continued commitment to supporting those affected. My sincere thanks go to Professor Chris Ponting and his team for their breakthrough research into M.E., helping to dispel the damaging myth that this condition is ""all in the mind"". Their scientific work, including that of the Edinburgh research team, has confirmed it as a serious and debilitating illness. Well done to all involved. It is my hope that continued funding will support further clinical medical research and lead to meaningful treatments for those in need. Poetry can hold different meanings for every reader. Through my writing, I have tried to express something heartfelt, with hope for better times ahead. Stay strong and hopeful.
