Author Information

Adam P Davies has advised exclusively in the entertainment sector since qualifying as a solicitor 12 years ago. Since 1999, he has also run a film financing consultancy, Investrum, whilst continuing to provide legal services to various film companies. He has represented businesses working in all areas of film financing, including private equity, sales agents, distributors, sale & leaseback facilitators, production fund partnerships, tax funds, high-net-worth individuals, co-producers, production companies and talent agencies. He has headed the Legal & Business Affairs departments of a number of international public listed companies in the film industry, has consulted to various film funds on four continents, and has closed the financing or advised on more than 200 feature films including House of Sand and Fog, Open Range, Timeline, Stoned (The Brian Jones Project), Irresistible, The Cooler, Heartbreakers, Lantana, Baise-Moi, Slap Her She's French, Sexy Beast, Gods & Monsters, Secret Society, Fanny & Elvis, The War Zone, Nil By Mouth, and Human Traffic. He has lectured to the International Chamber of Commerce, Cannes Producers Network, University of California Los Angeles (UCLA), Raindance, and IFP, various law firms, and many others. Nicol Wistreich wrote International Film & TV Rights for MTI in 1999, the first report into Digital Asset Management for Informa Media in 2001 and the previous two editions of this book. In his spare time he helps run two film production companies.
