His scholarship on film dialogue, aesthetics, and American cinema has appeared and is forthcoming in Film Quarterly, New Review of Film and Television Studies, Quarterly Review of Film and Video, The Soundtrack, and the Oxford Handbook of American Literary Naturalism.
