During 2022 artist Lachlan J McDougall painted a series of everyday file folders in bold, expansive colour fields and visceral designs . These simple explosions of expression were mailed out around the world to a series of artists and acquaintances to do with what they would and it seemed like the series would be lost forever on the winds of time. Until now. Collected for the first time, these photographic scans of the file folders series allow audiences to step inside the hectic paint world of McDougall's ephemera, to take a look at the wild, careening strokes of the brush as they sweep ever onwards toward oblivion.
