Riley Gunner is new in town. When she stops in at Red Barn for some lunch she makes her first friend, is offered a temporary job, and given a place to live. Temporary is all she needs. Though maybe a small town is the perfect place to hide. Or maybe it's not. Peter Kemp was born and raised on a ranch in Brookston, Wyoming. He still works and lives on the ranch as an adult. That is, when he's not working as a paramedic. One night they get a call that isn't like they normally get in the small town. They take two people to the hospital, but he can't get the woman out of his head. He doesn't know her, but he wants to get to know her. But will she stick around town long enough for them to get to know each other? And will she be ready for a new relationship?
