Author Information

Catherine Baker is an editor, consultant and writer specialising in children’s reading development throughout the Primary years. She has worked in educational publishing for over 30 years, and has written over 50 books for children and teachers. JiaJia Hamner is a Canadian illustrator who studied physics and graphic design prior to becoming a full-time artist. She was born in China, grew up in Canada, and currently lives in the United States. JiaJia loves to create illustrations that inspire children to be curious explorers of nature. She is influenced by childhood memories of her Chinese culture, and adoration of animals, and a fascination of the natural world.
