Returning home after failing to find the treasure, Loch is reported to have drunk a bottle of whiskey and shot himself with his army revolver. Author and Scotsman Captain E. Erskine Loch (1891-1944) was a veteran of the Uganda Highlanders and an officer in the British Army who fought in India and Africa. Included are 17 pages of maps and illustrations.
