He has a life-long interest in ferries and in 1989, with business partner John Hendy, created Ferry Publications now acknowledged as one of Europes leading specialist shipping industry publishers. Miles has followed the progress of Brittany Ferries since those very early days in 1973, having sailed on all of the companys ships and routes and still a devotee and regular passenger today. In the process he has amassed a vast collection of photographs and other memorabilia, and is himself a very accomplished photographer, his work for the travel industry taking him to many parts of the British Isles and Europe.
