Fencing Manual: Point and Counterpoint

Overview

In Fencing Manual: Point and Counterpoint (1884), Brunet provides the practitioner with a very clear and understandable interpretation of the Joinville Academy fencing curriculum, adapted for a civilian audience. The volume covers the standard weapons of the conventional French fencing style of the period, foil and sabre, starting with fundamental principles and building to a complete system capable of handling all common fencing situations. This book is a must have for fencers everywhere, and especially practitioners of historical fencing and those interested in the history and development of the modern sport.
