"From chef to social entrepreneur and visionary. Leon Aarts's love of food has been running like a thread through his life. He was born in the gastronomical city of Maastricht in the Netherlands. He started his career as a chef in some of Europe's best restaurants and later he became the owner of a top restaurant. He was always looking for the best ingredients and trying to innovate, striving to be the best. In 2001 he moved to London to start a fine food company delivering direct to the top end restaurant trade. The company became very successful and in 2006 Leon became member of an international group of social entrepreneurs which was a major turning point in his life. He decided to find his core purpose and live his life totally in his purpose. Leon's vision became ""Nobody to bed hungry"" and the mission is that we all become interconnected, and that is when he founded Extraordinary Ones.
