OverviewDay Four: Adventure after Adventure As day four began with a bright sunrise after a night of rain, the young peacocks woke up eager to learn new skills and experience fresh adventures. At Obsidian's campsite, the young peacocks were slow to rise. Although they did not feel as sore as expected, they still felt overwhelmed by the previous day's challenges. Obsidian checked on Pricie's injured wing. She told him it felt much better and thanked him for healing it. Pricie also promised that she would never wander off alone again, as it had been a scary experience. While Obsidian and his group were slowly getting ready for the day, Borealis' group had already started hiking to find and identify trails. Trails are often hidden, making landmarks crucial for knowing where travelers are. After finishing breakfast, all the groups headed out on learning trails. Learning how to identify trails helps teach young peacocks to understand where they have come from and where they are heading. The paths of others may not always be marked by worn-down grounds. Tracking time and direction teaches peacocks how to determine the time of day and navigate their travels. Landmarks, whether a specific boulder or a subtle turn in the river's flow, serve as confirmation of one's location.
