Overview""Something here is foundational to me."" The first line of the first poem describes the whole arc of this collection. The forty-two poems dance through many seasons, literally and figuratively, grasping after that ""something,"" looking for answers asked myriad times before, and finally coming to rest, and feast, on the grace that percolates through the ordinary and extraordinary. Most of the poems follow a fairly strict lyrical form, particularly sonnets, reflecting the grace it is to have a relationship with a God who orders the chaos of life on Earth. All art should point to beauty; this collection seeks it and hopes that all readers find a little bit of beauty and grace in its pages.
