This is the first part in a three-part Chinese multimedia language resource series on CD-ROM. Intended to enhance the teaching & learning of modern Chinese standard language (Mandarin) at beginner & intermediate levels at user's pace. Each lesson includes English & Chinese instructions, lessons, tests, & drills, audio demonstrations of Mandarin sounds, recording capabilities that allow users to record their pronunciation & compare it with the program's pronunciation, audio-visual displays that show the user how to shape his/her mouth to produce a specific sound, an audio database of Mandarin pronunciation & spelling techniques, 26 challenging tongue-twisters.
