Olga Oliker (Ph.D. candidate in Political Science, M.I.T.) is an associate political scientist at RAND. Her research focuses primarily on defense issues and the former Soviet Union. Thomas Szayna (Ph.D., Political Science, University of California, Los Angeles) is the Associate Director of the Strategy, Doctrine, and Resources Program at RAND's Arroyo Center. His research includes strategic planning, NATO, and military force structure.
