Cinema, the primary vehicle for storytelling in the twentieth century, is being reconfigured by new media in the twenty-first. Terms such as ""worldbuilding,"" ""virtual reality,"" and ""transmedia"" introduce new methods for constructing a screenplay and experiencing and sharing a story.
