Two of the high points of the volume address decolonization: the first thinking through historical research and the second with a distinctly contemporary bend. Monica Titton is a sociologist, fashion theorist and senior scientist at the fashion design department of the University of Applied Arts Vienna (Austria). Elke Gaugele is a cultural anthropologist and professor of fashion, styles and contextual design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna (Austria).
