Incredibly powerful and moving: Claire once wrote to Farley, ""I will love you to extinction."" They were together for 54 years until Farley's death. He died in her arms. A peek inside the personal life of a famous writer: Mowat sold over 17 million books before he died and was among the most famous writers of his generation. Even though their relationship began as an affair, Farley and Claire overcame the prejudices surrounding divorce at the time and forged a loving relationship for over 50 years.

Author Information

Michael Harris is the author of nine books and has received numerous awards for his journalism and books. Three of his books have been made into movies, and his work has sparked four commissions of inquiry. He has also written numerous magazine articles and several television screenplays. He lives in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. Margaret Atwood is the author of more than fifty books of fiction, poetry and critical essays. She has won numerous awards including the Booker Prize, the Arthur C. Clarke Award for Imagination in Service to Society, the Franz Kafka Prize, the Peace Prize of the German Book Trade, the PEN USA Lifetime Achievement Award and the Dayton Literary Peace Prize. In 2019 she was made a member of the Order of the Companions of Honour for services to literature. She lives in Toronto, Canada.
