Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor Information
A fellow army officer once told Fred, After you complete two tours in Texas, two in Germany and two wars, it is time to retire. During his career the army taught him three languages, sent him to finish college at the University of Nebraska at Omaha, and posted him in distant places. But, by 1996 his friend's retirement admonition had reached fruition, so Fred headed back home to Mississippi. Jean, his wife, began a career in nursing while Fred started his new career canoeing and exploring Canada's north woods.
Jay Timmerman, a lifelong resident of Wisconson, recently graduated from Saint Cloud State University, earning an M.A. in History. He has worked as a substitute teacher, a supermarket seafood salesman, and as a canoe guide. He also enjoyed working in a local theatre while attending school. Jay states, I worked as a canoe guide for twelve seasons before the opportunity to embark on this trip presented itself. The trip was a way to mark my having earned a Master's Degree. It was also something that I had dreamed about doing for over a decade. Tab Content 6Author Website:Countries AvailableAll regions |
