Overview

Hope is a baby laughing at stars that shine I can only dream of her world I pray for those that will inherit mine Pray love is realised in our world. Reason be damned! I'll trust in skies, I'll trust there's a star. Wish for harmonious sights And write down dreams we will survive While hope radiates its powers of love and light. A debut collection of poetry from Gary Miles. Containing poems on love, romance, hope and the cosmos. Each poem is complete in itself though collectively they form a tapestry of words in time. Author Information

Gary Miles is the author of Where the Mind Wanders and Far Away Powers. He lives in a North Somerset village where he reads poetry at a local open mic night and swims in the Marine Lake at Clevedon. Gary has wanted to be a writer since reading the Lord of the Rings as a young boy. Being partially sighed made childhood more challenging for Gary so books were important to him as they allowed him to escape into his own private universe. At the beginning of the 90s, he moved to Hemel Hempstead where he was asked to write a play for the Boxmoor Arts Centre for Young People. The play contained ideas that he used later in his debut fantasy novella Where the Mind Wanders.
