Overview

Every hunt starts with the first sniff...and every murder has a scent of malice. In the near future, Fang is the enhanced canine product of a DARPA research program - he has the AI intellect of his human partner, but underneath the fur, Fang is still a dog at heart. Medically discharged from the service with PTSD following the death of his human partner, Fang prefers to go it alone and stay in the shadows as a private investigator. After all, tracking down a missing person and the occasional crime scene consultation doesn't require a partner. Until, that is, a simple murder scene consult unleashes a sequence of devastating events which ruin his life. His only option is the unthinkable: team up again with a human. The young woman is untrained, but she has more grit and potential than he realizes - if only he gives her the chance. As the hunt leads them to a threat of truly biblical proportions, they'll be pushed to their limits. If they're lucky, they might even survive.
