Seine Forschungsschwerpunkte liegen in den Gebieten Migräne, Evolutionstheorie, soziokulturelle Evolution, Demografie und Soziologie. Von ihm stammen die Systemische Evolutionstheorie, das Familienmanager-Konzept und die energetische Migränetheorie. Daneben beschäftigt er sich mit den Ursachen der Übergewichts- und Demenzepidemie.
