Rosalía Winocur is a prominent researcher in the social sciences. For more than 10 years she has studied information and communication technologies and their relationship to culture and society, particularly in vulnerable communities. She is currently a professor and researcher in education and communication at the Metropolitan Autonomous University in Mexico, as well as a member of Mexico's Sistema Nacional de Investigadores. Rosario Sánchez Vilela holds a degree in social sciences from the Catholic University of Uruguay, where she also coordinates the master's in communication program. Throughout her career, she has studied how new communication technologies are received in society and adapted into culture. She is part of the Sistema Nacional de Investigadores in Uruguay.
