Author Information

Chiaki Darski is a children book artist residing in San Francisco Bay Area, California. She was born and grew up in Japan. She came to the U.S. to study fine arts and later received BFA in traditional animation at CalArts. She had worked for various animation studios as an assistant animator and character designer for several years. When she became a mom, she has began creating her own illustrations inspired by her daughters and developed her unique illustration style using hand-carved eraser stamps. Her passion is creating heartwarming children's books for children of all ages.
