OverviewHenry Justice Ford (1860-1941) was an English artist and illustrator, best known for his illustrations of Andrew Lang's Fairy Books. Andrew Lang (1844-1912) was a poet, novelist, and literary critic. It was thanks to Lang, Lang's wife Leonore Blanche Alleyne, and other translators that many international folk tales saw their first appearance in English. This coloring book contains high-resolution reproductions of H.J. Ford's gorgeous and sensual illustrations from Lang's Pink Fairy Book (1904) and Grey Fairy Book (1905). She is delighted to have been invited to collaborate on the Island Colors series of all-ages coloring books from Hawaiian Heritage Press. Like her amateur sleuth Molly Barda, Frankie teaches at a public university. Unlike her protagonist, she is blessed with delightful students, sane colleagues, and a perfectly nice office chair. She believes if life isn't fair, at least it can be entertaining. She believes that coloring books are an excellent and healthful alternative to stashing that bottle of bourbon in the bottom file drawer. Tab Content 6Author Website:Countries AvailableAll regions |
