Many have read about the Single Tax Colony of Fairhope, AL in very reputable publications and are given the very false impression how great this City on the Eastern Shore of Baldwin County, in the State of Alabama is. Furthermore, others do not know how truly horrid the United States (US) Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) truly is, as they do not utilize it and one must simply utilize it to fully understand the magnitude of the corruption and sheer incompetence! This author himself, and countless other's the author has encountered, are victims of this and resultantly the US Criminal Justice system, despite having served the United States in combat- honorably and faithfully to the fullest extent of their capabilities! The author has been asked countless times how many veterans in the US criminal justice system and the answer is always the same- too many! Therefore, the author, via pictures- as they simply speak louder than any words (In Iraq pictures were called Money Shots as it was the medium by which the US Military got insurgent convictions), and personal accounts, all of which are in fact true, will hopefully highly dissuade anyone of this any notion, that Fairhope, the Eastern Shore, Baldwin County, and Alabama are nothing more than a typical back-water southern town/ state, simply made worse by the amount of wealth, power and influence, that for some bizarre reason decided to reside in this location- creating a cesspool of hypocrisy! There is simply nothing special nor magical about Fairhope! Furthermore, the Gulf Coast VA which services veterans in this area is quite broken and corrupt to its very foundations as well as the VA Regional Office in Montgomery Alabama, etc... Due to the VA, the author ended up in the US Criminal Justice system, because of miss-management of medications, failure of VA personnel to do the right thing on numerous occasions, miss-diagnosis, and failure of the State of Alabama to comply with Federal Rules and Regulations creating nothing but lingering issues for the author! Also, the local media did not help, but that is to be expected when a Media Mogul lives in Fairhope! The author supposedly has a VA Office of Inspector General (OIG) investigation on-going into their treatment by the VA since their entry in VA system almost 10-years ago.Sadly, this is not only the author's plight by some/ perhaps many of the rest of the populace, in this area of mainly low to middle income, as we are nothing but mere pawns and/ or serfs to be exploited to fill the County and State coffers via imprisonment or involuntary commitment!Hopefully this work will prompt other veterans, and citizens of this area with similar experiences to write or to at least speak out!?!?NOTE: Before the reader claims the author, who is not an attorney- and opinions and experiences here-in are largely his own, as they say is full of it this work, in fact, requires the reader to do some homework on their own, as the author has 1) not written anything with correct citation format in a very long time and does not feel like relearning it! (This Author apologizes upfront for any errors or omission in citation as they were not intended!); 2) Was hoping all the federal, state, and local agencies the author had contacted would have in fact done something tangible, and negated the writing of this all together; 3) Deliberately, so readers have to verify a lot of things of their own accord- as that is simply what prudent individuals do when they have time, is it not? That is unless one wants to claim to be Joe Six-Pack eating potato chips and watching TV or playing Video Games on the couch!AUTHOR CAVEAT: THERE ARE NUMEROUS PEOPLE WHO CAN VERIFY EVERYTHING IN THIS WRITING AS THE AUTHOR HAS EITHER SPOKEN WITH THEM OR CORRESPONDED VIA EMAIL, TO INCLUDE ALL CURRENT VA PROVIDERS!!!! FURTHERMORE, THE AUTHOR SEEKS NO PERSONAL GAIN, INSTEAD AUTHOR SIMPLY DOES NOT WANT ANY OF THE EVENTS DESCRIBED TO HAPPEN TO OTHER VET'S, etc.
