OverviewThis book documents through portraits a small village in South Wales. It aims to show the diversity that is present within a small rural village in the valleys. The images show that there is still a strong sense of community and being proud. The village of Treharris was once a thriving place full of miners and their families that worked at the pit. The community no longer has its pit at its heart but they are still very much a big extended family. The images depicted within this book are a cross section of portraits depicting some of the people who live in the village of Treharris. The faces are old and new, young and mature each tell their own story through expression, body language and environment. Having lived in South Wales for fifteen years I felt that it was time to give something back to the people who I share a village with. Printed on black and white glossy paper.
