Author Information
Cornelia Funke is one of the most internationally successful and renowned German children’s and YA authors. She has received many awards for her books, including the prestigious German Children’s Literature Award in 2020 for her complete works. Ruby Warnecke lives with her family in Hamburg, Germany, where she also completed her Masters in Illustration. During her studies, Ruby spent a year abroad in Baltimore and discovered the joy of creating art for children. Ruby is part of Cornelia Funke’s Artists in Residence program.
