OverviewThis 17 minute video shows the steps needed to examine the eyes, including the proper use of equipment. It begins by demonstrating how to test visual acuity. Then with the patient seated, it shows how to perform an external examination of the eyes and eye structures, to assess extraocular muscle function, and to perform an ophthalmoscopic examination. The video presents expected findings and alerts the viewer to selected variations in techniques and findings for pediatric and geriatric patients.
