Overview

Battle Creek, Michigan, is famous as the birthplace of breakfast cereal, and the nearby suburb of Marshall is as wholesome as shredded wheat. On a frigid night in February of 1991, newscaster Diane Newton King was stepping out of her car, her children strapped into the backseat, when a sniper's bullet cut her down. The police assumed that the killer was her stalker--a crazed fan who had been terrorizing King for weeks. Author Information

Lowell Cauffiel is an American true crime author, novelist, screenwriter, and film and television producer. Cauffiel began his writing career as a contributor to music magazines, including Rolling Stone and Creem. He went on to become an award-winning reporter with the Detroit News and Detroit Monthly Magazine during the 1970s and 1980s. Cauffiel is cofounder of Primary Purpose Productions, a nonprofit production company that creates short films about addicts and alcoholics in recovery. Luke Daniels, winner of sixteen AudioFile Earphones Awards and a finalist for the Audie Award for best narration, is a narrator whose many audiobook credits range from action and suspense to young-adult fiction. His background is in classical theater and film, and he has performed at repertory theaters around the country.
