Extreme Human Antiquity: Further Investigations Into Forbidden Archeology

Overview

In Extreme Human Antiquity, Cremo builds on the foundation of Forbidden Archeology, introducing explosive new cases from all phases of archeological research, from the nineteenth century to the present. Drawing on his knowledge of the history and philosophy of science, he documents how evidence for extreme human antiquity has been subjected to a process of knowledge filtration, by which this evidence is ignored, forgotten, set aside, or dismissed on flimsy grounds.Evidence for extreme human antiquity includes human bones, human footprints, and human artifacts. Cremo's understanding of what counts as human includes discoveries that have previously been attributed to Neanderthals and other hominin species. Cremo presents for each case the pros and cons for taking it as evidence for extreme human antiquity and lets readers make their own decision.

Reviews

Tracing imprints of ancient civilisations extending far earlier than generally accepted by historians and archaeologists, Extreme Human Antiquity: Further Investigations into Forbidden Archaeology presents a fascinating array of explosive research. Building on the foundation of Forbidden Archaeology: The Hidden History of the Human Race that Michael A. Cremo coauthored with Richard L. Thompson, this new release by Cremo documents how evidence for extreme human antiquity has been subjected to a process of knowledge filtration and thus ignored, forgotten, set aside or dismissed on flimsy grounds. Featuring groundbreaking discoveries for a human presence on Earth extending much further back in time than claimed by the scientific establishment, Cremo presents the pros and cons of these anomalous finds. Arranged chronologically, according to geological period, this fascinating compendium of fossil bones, footprints, teeth and other cases presents systematic evidence for humanity existing in the far distant past. Hailed as an internationally acclaimed pioneer in the history and philosophy of science, Cremo navigates an intriguing journey into ancient origins and human evolution.
