Katherine Owens is a Brisbane-based mum of two boys who inspired her to become an author. When her once book-loving sons hit the pre-teen years and struggled to find stories they could relate to, Katherine decided to write the book she wished existed on the shelves. Her work is driven by a simple but powerful idea: that empathy, kindness, gratitude and human connection matter just as much, if not more, than formal education, money or the traditional idea of 'success'.Through her stories, Katherine encourages young readers to build community, ask questions, and discover how meaningful connections can shape a successful and fulfilling life. She especially loved interviewing the people featured in Extraordinary Stories, finding joy in every conversation.With a background in marketing and public relations, Katherine spent years searching for her purpose before finding it in storytelling. When she's not writing, she enjoys Muay Thai (ten years in and still learning), the beach, travelling, animals, and time with her family. She hopes her stories spread positivity and kindness around the world.
