Professor Weigel is a faculty member in the Department of Anthropology at the State University of New York, Oneonta where she teaches prehistoric world cultures, Mesoamerican archaeology, historic archaeology, and introductory cultural anthropology. Her research interests include gender in prehistory, historic archaeology, ethnoarchaeology and cross cultural comparisons, and changing subsistence and settlement strategies in the Eastern Woodlands during the Late Archaic and Woodland periods.
