Routledge Introductions to Applied Linguistics consists of introductory level textbooks covering the core topics in Applied Linguistics, designed for those entering postgraduate studies and language professionals returning to academic study. Author Information

Philip Seargeant is Lecturer in Applied Linguistics in the Centre for Language and Communication, The Open University, where he is co-ordinator of the undergraduate applied linguistics course Exploring the English language. He previously worked for a number of years in the higher education sector in Japan.
