Overview

Laser resurfacing and chemical peeling are treatments used for facial rejuvenation. Laser resurfacing is a procedure to remove the outer layers of skin from the face and encourage new skin to grow. It can remove wrinkles, scars and areas of discolouration, and tighten the skin. Chemical peeling is also used to improve the appearance of the skin, typically performed on the face, neck or hands. In this treatment, a chemical solution is applied to the skin that causes it to blister and eventually peel off. The new, regenerated skin is usually smoother and less wrinkled than the old skin.
