Overview

It's not that I'm so smart, it's just that I stay with problems longer. Albert Einstein Understanding existence and the world is an ongoing process. Einstein did not start out with a fundamental understanding of physics. He studied at several universities and took relatively menial jobs before he came up with the theory of relatively. Understanding the world takes effort and time. It is initially approached by a study of science and the humanities. This may appear counter intuitive and as the effort may include goals and drives. This can cause the mind to want something enough to create a false reality which can impede one's understanding. In the beginner's mind there are many possibilities, but in the expert's there are few. Shunryo Suzuki New awareness happen throughout our life. Enlightenments may seam special at first but soon become an ordinary state of beingness (enlightenment after enlightenment ). Along the way you may experience a temporary absence of desire and suffering but no final state is to be sought, and eventually no hierarchy of consciousnesses, no good or bad, no judgment, just beingness (unconsciousness consciousness). Having a scientific, rational, logical perspective of the world helps in your understanding of the states of consciousness as you let go of your egocentric world view and start to have new awareness. This book includes wisdom from many sources, many of which I did not initially understand, but then they became part of my consciousness days, weeks or years later. I am not suggesting to anyone what to think, just sharing thoughts.
