Author Information

Charmian Brinson, PhD King's College London, is Emeritus Professor of German at Imperial College London. She has published widely on German Exile Studies including, with Richard Dove, A Matter of Intelligence: MI5 and the Surveillance of anti-Nazi Refugees (Manchester University Press, 2014). Andrea Hammel, DPhil Sussex University, is Reader in German at Aberystwyth University. Her publications include books and articles on the literature and history of German-speaking refugees from National Socialism, especially the Kindertransport.
